Two unique suites in Madeira with a story to tell
Our dream was simple: preserve the charm of the original house while creating a completely new experience. The result is Suite Jardim and Suite Vinha, two stylish adults-only suites in Madeira where authentic character blends seamlessly with modern comfort.
Suite Jardim
Once used as the home's storage area, Suite Jardim has been transformed into a cosy and modern suite with a warm, rustic atmosphere. By lowering the floor level, we created a surprisingly spacious accommodation while preserving its original charm.
Step directly onto the covered terrace overlooking our colourful garden filled with tropical plants and flowers. Through the greenery, you'll also enjoy beautiful views of the Atlantic Ocean and the mountains across the valley.
Suite Vinha
Bright, spacious and thoughtfully designed, Suite Vinha offers everything you need for a relaxing stay. Its rooftop terrace is the true highlight, with panoramic views stretching across Madeira's lush mountains all the way to the Atlantic Ocean.
This terrace also has a unique history. It was once the place where grapes were traditionally crushed to produce local wine. Today, you'll find a heated outdoor plunge pool in the very same spot, creating the perfect place to relax while enjoying the spectacular scenery.

Calheta Suites is located in Calheta on Madeira's sunny southwest coast, in a peaceful residential area surrounded by nature with stunning views of the Atlantic Ocean. Calheta is one of the island's warmest and sunniest destinations.

Amazing Stay
We had an amazing stay! Rachelle was incredibly helpful and welcoming. The views are absolutely stunning, and we spent many relaxing hours on the terrace and in the outdoor pool. The location is perfect – Calheta Beach is just a few minutes away, and it's also an excellent base for exploring Madeira's beautiful hiking trails. We truly enjoyed our stay and would happily book again.

We'll Definitely Be Back
The hosts were incredibly kind and helpful. We stayed for two weeks, and the suite had everything we needed. The kitchen is fully equipped with all the cookware you could need, including an oven. The interior is beautifully designed, and the views are simply breathtaking. Shops and restaurants are nearby, yet the location is peaceful and quiet. It was a 10/10 experience.

We're Jeroen and Rachelle, and since May 2024 we've been living on the beautiful island of Madeira, where we've transformed Calheta Suites into a small-scale adults-only retreat.
We first visited Madeira in June 2022 after hearing so many wonderful stories about the island. Everyone was right—it completely stole our hearts. From the moment we arrived, it felt like the place we wanted to call home. Step by step, we began exploring the possibility of building a new life here.
One dream stood out from the very beginning: creating a welcoming place where guests could experience the beauty of Madeira. Today, that dream has become reality with Calheta Suites.
