Het verhaal achter de Suites
Suite Jardim was once a storage room, but has now been transformed into a cozy, modern suite with rustic charm. Lowering the floor has made the space feel spacious, while keeping its warm and inviting atmosphere.
You step right out onto a covered terrace overlooking a beautiful garden full of flowers and plants. And the best part? You can even catch a glimpse of the sea and the mountains across the valley.
Suite Vinha offers a stunning view, from your room, you can see the ocean shimmering in the distance. This suite is bright, spacious, and comfortably furnished.
The two suites are connected by a staircase through the garden. This way, you can stay together, but still enjoy your own space and privacy — perfect for two couples or adult friends who want to enjoy each other’s company with all the comforts of home.
The shared rooftop terrace is quite literally the highlight of your stay. Here, you'll enjoy panoramic views from the mountains to the ocean, a view you'll never tire of.
This terrace also has a special story: grapes used to be crushed here to make local wine. Today, in that exact spot, you'll find a heated outdoor tub where you can truly unwind.

Calheta Suites is located in the sunny southwest of Madeira, in a quiet residential area on the mountain with views of the sea and nature. Calheta is known as one of the warmest and sunniest spots on the island, perfect for those who love light, peace, and space.

We are Jeroen and Rachelle, and since May 2024, we have been living on Madeira.
In June 2022, we visited Madeira for the first time. We had heard great stories and were very curious to see it for ourselves.
And everyone was right, what a beautiful island!
We quickly fell in love with the island, and it soon felt like the perfect place to call home. Step by step, we started thinking about how we could live here.
One of our first dreams was to open guest accommodations. Calheta Suites is now a reality!
